About 6th Annual Advances in Gastroenterology and Hepatology Conference

This interactive one-day conference will present cutting edge opportunities for improving assessment and management of patients with gastrointestinal conditions and place recent advances in context of current assessment and management paradigms.

Specific topics that will be covered include: novel treatments for irritable bowel syndrome, evaluation and management of constipation, treatment of ulcerative colitis, fecal microbiota transplantation for inflammatory bowel disease, post polypectomy colonoscopy surveillance, cancer genetics, hepatic encephalopathy, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, endoscopic approaches to obesity, novel methods for treating GI bleeding and treatment of Barrett’s esophagus.

The format includes keynote presentations by internationally known guest speakers, short evidence-based updates by UC San Diego faculty, interactive presentations and panel discussions of challenging cases.
