My vast experience covers both Drug Discovery Research and IT as summarized below:

• 20+ years experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, bacterial genetics, lab automation, high throughput screening, assay development and lead generation. Led Discovery projects as a Project manager as well as Lead Biochemist in Lead Identification and Lead Optimization phases. Developed a number of protein purification methods for membrane proteins.
• 15+ years experience in information sciences (ISIT) managing the needs across business verticals such as discovery, process development, sales and marketing and operations.
• Worked extensively with a cross-disciplinary and trans-national team of scientists within & outside AstraZeneca.
• Currently, as a senior member of the AZ India IT team, I lead the business demand capture, pilot testing and implementation of several ISIT platforms that are relevant to the various verticals.
• Basically covered either in sequence or parallel the roles of Business Analyst, Business Relationship Manager, Application delivery & Services Lead, IS Strategy as well as AZ IS Security Manager
• My vast experience as a bench and lead scientist has helped me bridge the business needs and IS deliverables, thus enabling my team to deliver superior quality of service.
