Suresh Bhat Auditorium

The Suresh Bhat Sabhagruh, an air conditioned facility with a capacity to seat 3000 persons and a blue and orange facade has extensive wood cladding.

Two small amphi theatres on both sides of the podium offering space to groups for impromptu activities, the structure is perhaps the only one of its kind that will run on solar panels generating 205 kilowatts power, sufficient even if the auditorium consumes it continuously for 90 days.

Designed by adopting the Nagpur – for - oranges as its theme, with patterns of orange leaves carved in the ceiling, The auditorium has a massive 250 sq metre stage with depth of 16 metres and width of 20 metres. Situated barely 3km from the centre of the city, this auditorium has to provide ample parking space.
